The 2014-15 Leadership Corvallis program “Health Care Day” in January again was fantastic, thanks to an enthusiastic class and a dedicated group of presenters and facilitators.
The program included an overview of the health care assets in the community, as well as the multi-faceted levels of care offered locally to meet needs of community members and those around the region. Thanks to presenters Dennis Regan, MD, Medical Director at The Corvallis Clinic; Elizabeth Lincoln, MD, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center; Scott Chille, IT Director at The Corvallis Clinic; Sheena Strohmayer, MHA, Manager of Quality Improvement and Informatics at The Corvallis Clinic; Shawn Foley, MD, Family Medicine at The Corvallis Clinic; Sherlyn Dahl, MPH, Director of the Community Health Centers of Benton and Linn Counties; Patti Daskalos, Associate Director of Development at COMP Northwest; Elisabeth Guenther, MD, Director of COMP; Brian Curtis, MD, Internal Medicine at The Corvallis Clinic; Lori Dodds, RD, Weight Loss Center Coordinator at The Corvallis Clinic; Alyssa Wink, General Manager at SamFit; Kim Whitley, Chief Operating Officer of Samaritan Health Plan Operations; and Robert Power, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Samaritan Health Services.
Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and The Corvallis Clinic CareNow facility served as the host location for the day’s activities, which were organized and planned by day facilitators Judy Corwin, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at The Corvallis Clinic; Jeff Larson, Executive Director of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation; and Janelle Iverson, Public Relations and Marketing at Samritan Health Services.
The effort of those who contribute to the Leadership Corvallis program – which develops current and future leaders to make a positive impact on the future of our community – is appreciated greatly.
