2021/22 class info:
Leadership Corvallis is moving forward with a hybrid class structure – with classes occurring online and in-person in a socially distant way – for the 2021/2022 class.
Morning class activities will occur virtually via Zoom and afternoon sessions will occur in-person at locations throughout the Corvallis area that allow for a socially distanced experience.
There will be 10 classes beginning in September. Each class will be held on the second Thursday of each month (except June, which will be the 1st Thursday). Morning Zoom sessions will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Afternoon in-person sessions will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. Participants are expected to attend both sessions.
This new hybrid format will provide the class opportunities to interact with leaders across the Corvallis community and gain a deeper understanding of the local businesses, government, social services, arts, education and natural resources that make Corvallis a top community in the country to live and work in. Expect an engaging mix of panel interviews, group discussion, small-group breakout chats and tours of locations throughout the community.
Session content will include the standard Leadership Corvallis curriculum and elements designed to help emerging leaders understand and navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and engage in the evolving conversation around racial justice, diversity and equity in the community.
Registration is $195 per person, which includes a $25 application fee. Several individuals and organizations have provided scholarship funds to ensure everyone who wants to participate can.
Leadership Corvallis is a volunteer, alumni-driven leadership program that provides a broad experience to engaged participants on how the community functions, and to prepare them through education and inspiration to actively shape the destiny of our area.
